It has come to our attention that recent IBM maintenance for OS/390 2.10 is causing a problem with IAM, resulting in SB00 abends. We believe that the APAR that has caused this problem is in the series UW88072, UW88073, UW78074, or UW88075. If you are planning on applying maintenance to OS/390, please apply the IAM PTF's identified below, as applicable to your level of IAM.

As a reminder, please note that if you are planning on or in the process of installing z/OS 1.2 or higher that you must be running with IAM Version 7.0. The currently available level of V7.0 is level 19P, which has the necessary fixes both for z/OS 1.2, in addition to the IAM PTF's required to resolve the SB00 abend occurring under OS/390 2.10.

Version 7.0

IAM V7.0/17P and higher has the PTF already applied that will fix the SB00 abend. If you are running at a lower level, you can either request the latest maintenance level, or you can apply PTF P-70.0098, which is available on Innovation's FTP site, or be calling Innovation Technical Support.

Version 6.4

Customers running with Version 6.4 are encouraged to upgrade to the latest Version 7.0 level available. As a temporary fix for the SB00 abends, customers can apply fix C-64.0414. This fix is available on Innovation's FTP site, or by calling Innovation Technical Support.
